Maggie has had a lifelong passion for creativity. For 25 years, she worked as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in Boston, collaborating with clients across print, video, and digital design.

Five years ago, she relocated to coastal Maine, where the stunning vistas and unique light inspired her to begin painting. Her design background enhances her ability to deconstruct form and perspective, bringing a distinctive approach to her art. Rather than striving for precise representations, her paintings capture the ever-changing rhythm and color of the landscape.

Maggie developed a deep interest in encaustic art, honing her skills with wax and using a propane torch to create tactile layers infused with pastels, charcoal, graphite, fused photos, and wax pencils. The transition from traditional paintbrushes to working with fire has been exhilarating.

Her artwork has been featured in solo, invitational, and juried exhibitions and is part of private collections across the U.S.

“My paintings do not set out to be precise representations but are expressions of the changing rhythm and color of landscapes”.
